Marquette's Office of Sustainability
The Office of Sustainability is run by the university architect and includes three active working groups to encourage more sustainable practices on campus.
Student Organizations
- MUSG acts as the liaison between students and the administration. SEAC members have sat in on many senate meetings, and our partnership with some of the senators during the Spring 2014 semester led to the passing of legislation for buying water bottle refilling stations to install on campus.
- Sigma Kappa is a sorority with a focus on service. SEAC often teams up with this sorority to put on events during Earth Week, such as the tree planting on Arbor Day.
- Green Builders Club is a relatively new organization that shares SEAC's mission to make Marquette a more sustainable university. Its focus is more on sustainable design, construction and operation of Marquette buildings.
- Cycling Club is an organization for people with an interest in bicycling. Cycling Club helps SEAC plan, fund and operate the pedal powered movie at Earth Week each year.
And More!
There are many students and faculty members not affiliated with these groups who help SEAC in various ways. Thank you for your support!
